VT40 – Short Course Option
Welcome to the VT40
This short course recreational ride is a fantastic option for friends and family members who would like to take part in B2VT event festivities. The ride will start and finish conveniently at the Jackson Gore Inn – the same finish line for the B2VT ride. There is a 20 mile and 40 mile option so that any rider, regardless of experience can participate in B2VT weekend.
About the course:
This is a beautiful scenic course departing from the Okemo Mountain’s Jackson Gore Inn and travelling north on Route 100 to the Town of Plymouth. You’ll be riding past two stunning Vermont lakes. At about mile 10 there will be a water stop. At this point the 40 mile ride continues on Route 100 towards Killington and then turns onto Route 4 to the town of Bridgewater. From there riders will take a right turn onto Route 100A for a long but gradual climb back to Route 100 and the return to Jackson Gore Inn, the same finish area as the B2VT Ride.
20 mile riders can turn back after the rest stop and take the same route back to Okemo. The 20 mile loop is mostly flat to accommodate less experienced riders. Both rides have spectacular scenery.
The VT40 (both distances) will start at the Jackson Gore Inn at 12:30 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Riders will be back in plenty of time to see the bulk of the riders finish the B2VT ride from Bedford, MA.
Online registrations for the VT40 will open on Monday, January 11, 2016
The registration fee is $79 which includes an event t-shirt, full meal, one free beer voucher and plenty of fun at the finish line venue!
This is a non-timed recreational ride. Our vision is to provide the family and friends an opportunity to enjoy B2VT weekend and all that Okemo Mountain has to offer. Overnight lodging is available at the Jackson Gore Inn for all riders and family participating in B2VT weekend.
